The Toyota pickup manual transmission Shift stick is stuck up on 4low and will not release.
4WD 4L is working good. But the Shift stick will not get back to 2H or 4H.
On this vehicle there is Manual transmission with the manual short lever.
The only way this style can be stuck is if the lever has jammed or the wheels are binding. You need to get either the front or rear wheels off the ground to take any torque bind off the drive line to relieve any pressure on the transfer case. If this does not work the shift lever needs removed from the transfer case. This is done by removing the shifter cover and then the rubber boot on the shifter. There is a snap ring that holds the shift in the top of the transfer case.
