Power windows not working on Ford Explorer?

Check the fuses in the power distribution box. Also try swapping the Accessory Delay relay and see if there is any difference. Open up the LH door panel and inspect the wire connections.

If all checked ok,then check current voltage to master switch.The main master switch which controls all windows.If current is getting to the switch and none coming out, replace the switch.
For your information,the master switch is on drivers side.
The drivers switch feeds all the other switches. If you have a test light, test to see if current is coming in and that it goes out to the others when the switch is moved up or down.

Pul back the boot at the door hinge and out pops the LT B/BK wire ,if that wire is loose or not connected properly with a crimp connector.Then re-solder it with a splice.

The wire is blue/black color wire.

This problem was noticed in lots of 1997 and 1997 ford explorers.So inspect this wire in your case too.

You have a broken wire in the l/f door jam wiring on the Blue / Black wire ----you see, the wiring in the door has to get into the body of the truck ,it does this at the door jam between the two door hinges---look there and you will see a rubber boot---this rubber boot is held in place by a tie strap----cut the tie strap and pull down on the boot ---find the Blue / Black wire and see if it is broken ---you may have to pull on it to find the break in the wire , due to the wire may be broken but the insulation may not be -so give it a good yank if you see no break or loose connection.-

You will see there are three wires

One is blue with black stripe 10 or 12 gauge wire (the windows) and two yellow wires.One yellow and brown and one yellow and purple. So inspect all this wires properly.
