What happens when oven reach set temperature?

As the oven reaches the correct temperature the light turns off to indicate that it is now at the temperature that you set it . It means the oven has reached temp and you can cook.

The working of oven is simple,The element in the oven can not stay heating non-stop or it will burn up.
So it turns itself off and when it gets below the set temperature the light comes on indicating that it is below the temperature. The element then starts heating again and when it reaches the set temperature the light goes off. This is normal.
