How to replace Wheel Speed Sensors on Kia Sportage?

The procedure to do this task is as follows :-----

Removal & Installation

Front

1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
2. Remove the appropriate tire and wheel assembly for access.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
4. Remove the sensor retaining bolt and remove the speed sensor.

To install:

1. Clean speed sensor attaching surface.
2. Install speed sensor and tighten the mounting bolt to 7 ft. lbs. (9 Nm).
3. Install the front wheel and tighten the lug nuts 77 ft. lbs. (104 Nm).
4. Lower the vehicle.

Rear

1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
3. Remove the sensor retaining bolt and remove the speed sensor.

To install:

1. Inspect the sensor O-ring and replace if necessary.
2. Clean speed sensor attaching surface.
3. Lightly lubricate the sensor O-ring with motor oil.
4. Install speed sensor and tighten the mounting bolt to 7 ft. lbs. (9 Nm).
5. Lower the vehicle.
