Engine wont rev up past half throttle?

This problem are noticed on many car models.

In this case this problem is noticed on 1994 Chevrolet S10 Blazer 4x4 model.

Basically this problem is related to car going in lump mode.

It sounds like its going to shut off until it idles down and idles.You can drive it and get up to speed until you go further down on the throttle.

Basically in this cases after half throttle you will notice engine getting shut off and on.

It feels like engine skipping.

To resolve such problem first make sure the fuel pressure IS withing spec and the PSI read on the fuel pressure test guage does NOT drop down.If that is ok.Then  you more than likey have an ignition coil acting up or a problem insdie the distibuter which installing a rebuilt complete distibuter assembly is the best way to go.
