Obd Code P0763 on Lexus?

In this types of problem,dealer will mostly say to replace transmission.

This code specifically says there is an open or short in the S3 solenoid. If the transmission fluid is not burned and otherwise is in good condition I'm not sure why Lexus would want to replace the transmission other than liability reasons. The shift solenoid S3 or otherwise known as the shift solenoid three-way valve number two.The solenoid retails for approx $330. Normally the labor would be about two or three hours. At this point because this is an electrical malfunction and solenoid is easily tested, just test the solenoid and replace the one solenoid. There's no need to replace all of the other solenoid or the entire valve body assembly.Just getting the faulty solenoid replaced will solve the problem.
