How to remove blower motor from 2000 ford expedition?



F-150, F-250, Expedition, Navigator, And 1999-00 F-Super Duty Models

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Detach the blower motor electrical harness connector.
  3. Remove 3 blower motor cover retaining screws.
  4. Pry the release tabs and remove the cover.
  5. Remove 3 blower motor retaining screws and remove the blower motor assembly.
  6. If required, remove the blower cage by removing the retaining clip and sliding the blower cage off of the blower motor shaft.

To install:

  1. If removed, slide the blower wheel onto the blower motor shaft and install a new retaining clip.
  2. Install the blower motor assembly in the blower housing and secure with 3 retaining screws. Tighten the screws to 30 inch lbs. (3 Nm).
  3. Install the blower motor cover ensuring that the tabs are properly positioned. Install and tighten 3 cover screws to 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
  4. Connect the blower motor electrical harness connector.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Check the blower motor for proper operation.
