- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Detach the blower motor electrical harness connector.
- Remove 3 blower motor cover retaining screws.
- Pry the release tabs and remove the cover.
- Remove 3 blower motor retaining screws and remove the blower motor assembly.
- If required, remove the blower cage by removing the retaining clip and sliding the blower cage off of the blower motor shaft.
To install:
- If removed, slide the blower wheel onto the blower motor shaft and install a new retaining clip.
- Install the blower motor assembly in the blower housing and secure with 3 retaining screws. Tighten the screws to 30 inch lbs. (3 Nm).
- Install the blower motor cover ensuring that the tabs are properly positioned. Install and tighten 3 cover screws to 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
- Connect the blower motor electrical harness connector.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Check the blower motor for proper operation.
