where is egr valve connected on 1990 honda civic

First, take off your EGR valve, check for obvious mechanical failure, and then clean it with carb cleaner. (The '90 Civic has an EGR, the '92-95 doesn't.) Then ghetto-test the EGR valve off the car by attaching a hose to it, and sucking HARD. You should be able to see it open up, and it shouldn't leak. When the engine is warm, and the engine speed is above idle, you should be able to feel vacuum at the hose that connects to the EGR valve. If not, there might be a problem with the vacuum control solenoid that feeds the EGR valve, or with the electrical circuit that controls the vacuum solenoid. If the EGR system passes your quick tests, the system is probably functioning fine.

Remove the screws and nuts marked with its corresponding glass. To remove the pressure of trying to loosen nut factory these dry but firm strokes with the key. Then removed by hand very easily.

Unscrew the crossbar of the lock of the bonnet to have more space.

Remove the screws from one of the coolant returns.

We have the EGR loose, but we need to remove the dipstick tube for checking the oil level. Remove the screw that subject. Turn the tube firmly and pulled out of the engine block. The red circle marks where it caught up and then goes back to put it on your site the same way we've learned.

But looking at the entrance to the intake manifold, we see the dirt that is created on the leadingEGR engines. We take the gloves and doing the hook with no finger to push the **** we getting inward pegotes of the filth of the mouth and internal sides of the entrance. This dirt is extremely difficult to remove from clothes and hands. Where there is touch.

With the EGR on the table, clean the carbon accumulated on the board. No need to disassemble the plunger of the lung because it is clean with only a thin layer of soot as I said before.

He sprayed the KH7 at the outlet of the EGR and rubbed with a cloth rag until clean grease. The interior does not need cleaning. The KH7 not harm the molten steel from the EGR and that is what is normally used to clean it.

The dirt coming out:--

it is located on top of the intake manifold
