Intake manifold gasket can leak and cause this no heat issue.
This sounds as if you have air in the cooling system. Air pockets cause a no heat problem, and the expanding air causes the coolant to pump out the reservoir. Or possibly overheateing.
Two common causes on this engine.
1. The lower intake gaskets are leaking internally and/or externally.
2. There is a bad headgasket.
Either one would cause air in the system, low coolant, and possible overheating.
The system would need to be pressure tested to determine this.
To test this, try this procedure, set the heater on its high setting and the fan speed on high.

Also other possibility can be faulty heater core or stuck up faulty thermostat.
If the radiator hose is warm, but you are still not getting heat in the cabin, your heater core or thermostat has failed and needs to be replaced. If the heat comes on intermittently, the thermostat may have failed.
If intake gasket is leaking. Then i suggest replace Intake manifold gasket. For this click the link below and follow its procedure:----
