Motherboard will not Turn ON due to faulty ICH RTC

Motherboard not turning due to faulty ICH ( South bridge) RTC.

Its a 32 Khz RTC.

Any motherboard in which the ICH 32K RTC is open, will not turn ON, with power switch shorting.

To turn ON such a motherboard short 32K RTC in-out pin and power switch pin simultaneously, only then the motherboard will turn ON.

If the motherboard turns on that way, then replacing the RTC will help.

So for any dead motherboard do these process,to verify is RTC is open or not.

These details will help.
Thanks.
