2002 Chevrolet Astro Four Way Flasher and Brake Lights Not working
Both Flasher and Brake lights not functioning.
There are few possibilities that can cause these problem.
The first possibility is faulty Combination switch.
When these switch gets faulty,same problem occurs.
Test the combination switch and its wirings.
If the combination switch checked ok,then ............
Most often this problem is caused by a faulty ignition switch .
On chevy astro car models this is a conventional brake-turn signal harness.
To confirm the problem you have to ------------
Test voltage at C201 terminal A1 with brakes applied. Test at S200,C201 is a 48 cavity connector under the steering column. S200 is in the instrument panel harness, approximately 6" from the fuse block
The better place to start troubleshooting these types of problem is at the ignition switch or the fuse box and see if you have power on all of the fuses when you turn the switch on.
If any fuse showing symptoms of getting blown or shorted then replace the fuse.If all fuses checked ok,then test ignition switch.It can be the problem.
