Turn Signal lights & 4 way flashers not working

2005 Ford F650 XLT  Both Turn Signal lights and 4-way flashers not working.

As per the problem,there are few possibilities that are causing the problem.

Either its blown fuse controlling the flasher unit and turn signal lights.
OR its faulty Flasher unit.
OR its faulty Signal switch.
OR its problem with wiring.

Every possibility has to be inspected visually and then also wiring needs to be tested.

If any burnt blown fuse is seen,then replacing that faulty fuse should help.

Refer the wiring diagram and testing details mentioned below to troubleshoot the problem:---------

NOW ONCE YOU HAVE FOLLOWED THE WIRING DIAGRAM,SO YOU CAN NOW,
FOLLOW THE TESTING PROCEDURE:---

PINPOINT TEST J: CASE 1:

IF THE TURN SIGNAL LAMPS ARE NOT TURNING ON AT ALL
Test Step Result / Action to Take
J1 CHECK THE FUSES
Ignition OFF.

Check fuse: Junction Box Fuse 2 (15A).
Check fuse: Junction Box Fuse 23 (10A).
Are the fuses OK?

Yes
REINSTALL the fuses. GO to J2 .

No
INSTALL a new fuse for the one in question. TEST the system for normal operation.

If junction box fuse 2 (15A) fails again, GO to J5 .

If junction box fuse 23 (10A) fails again, GO to J6 .

==========================
CASE 2:----

J2 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE FLASHER RELAY BLOCK
Disconnect: Flasher Relay .
Ignition ON.
Measure the voltage between the following instrument panel relay block electronic flasher connector pins and ground.
circuit 1039 (BK/YE).
circuit 383 (RD/WH).

Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?

Yes
GO to J3.

No
REPAIR circuit 1039 (BK/YE) or circuit 383 (RD/WH). TEST the system for normal operation.

If the voltages are not satisfactory then,

REPAIR circuit 1039 (BK/YE) or circuit 383 (RD/WH). TEST the system for normal operation.

=================
CASE 3:---

J3 CHECK CIRCUIT 44 (LB) FOR CONTINUITY AND SHORT TO GROUND
Ignition OFF.
Disconnect: Multifunction Switch C202a.
Disconnect: Flasher Relay.
Measure the resistance between the multifunction switch C202a-5, circuit 44 (LB), and the flasher relay block pin 87, circuit 44 (LB); and between the multifunction switch C202a-5, circuit 44 (LB), and ground.

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the multifunction switch C202a-5 and the flasher relay block pin 5, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the multifunction switch and ground?

Yes
GO to J4.

No
REPAIR circuit 44 (LB). TEST the system for normal operation.
====================

CASE 4:----
J4 CHECK THE CONTINUITY OF THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH
Place the multifunction switch in the right turn position.
Measure the resistance between the multifunction switch C202a-5 and C202a-3.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes
INSTALL a new electronic flasher. TEST the system for normal operation.

No
INSTALL a new multifunction switch. TEST the system for normal operation.

==========================
CASE 5:----
These is to confirm problem between ground connections,whether there is any short on grounding wires and connections.

J5 CHECK CIRCUIT 383 (RD/WH) FOR SHORT TO GROUND
Disconnect: Flasher Relay.
Disconnect: Junction Box Fuse 2 (15A).
Measure the resistance between junction box fuse 2 (15A) connector pin 1, circuit 383 (RD/WH), and ground.
Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?

Yes
INSTALL a new flasher relay. TEST the system for normal operation.

No
REPAIR circuit 383 (RD/WH). TEST the system for normal operation.

See the test diagram for case 5 shown below:----

flasher unit fuse box
====================

CASE 6:----
These is to confirm problem between ground connections,whether there is any short on grounding wires and connections.

J6 CHECK CIRCUIT 1039 (BK/YE) FOR SHORT TO GROUND
Disconnect: Flasher Relay.
Disconnect: Junction Box Fuse 23 (10A).
Measure the resistance between fuse junction panel fuse 23 (10A) connector pin 2, circuit 1039 (BK/YE), and ground.

Yes
INSTALL a new component for the one that caused the fuse to fail. TEST the system for normal operation.

No
REPAIR circuit 1039 (BK/YE). TEST the system for normal operation.

See the test diagram for case 6 below:----
fuse box

Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?

These test options will help you to get the problems confirmed.
