Toyota Corolla leaking oil from timing cover?

For this types of problems its recommended to "reseal and replace crank seal".
The seal can be replaced without removing the timing cover, the labor is usually 2 hours plus the cost of the seal, total of about $200. If they are going to reseal the timing cover and replace the seal for $400 then that would be a great deal.

The seal is a lot more common leak than the timing cover.
Removing and resealing the timing cover involves a lot of labor about 8 hours.
