How to change the egr valve on my 95 lincoln towncar ?

The EGR valve is located on the rear right area of the intake manifold. The egr valve connected to the right exhaust manifold. It is connected via a metal tube. The valve and the tube has to be removed as an assembly, and separated once it is off the car. The EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. It is part of the vehicle emissions system. There are generally three parts to the EGR system: the EGR Valve, an actuator solenoid, and a pressure sensor EGR (DPFE). These things work together. They are easily cleaned by removing the cover on the rear of the intake manifold. these ports are small, and easily clogged by carbon, and oil residue. There are two ways to replace the egr valve. To replace the EGR valve get ahold of a 11mm Gear Wrench and do it from the top. Or If you have a lift, the jack up the vehicle of jack stands and you can drop the exhaust from the bottom and get it that way.
