How to replace passenger side front fog lamp

* First, you will have to remove the two plastic covers, which are located beneath the bumper on the front side. Take a ratchet wrench for making your job easier. You will require a special tool, depending on the type of car you use. Go through the owner’s manual or do a visual inspection before you start the project.
* Start loosening the lower front of the bumper cover and remove it if required. You will have to remove the 8-mm bolt and the torx screw.
* Try to find the plastic fastener, which locks itself in place in between the fog lights and the bumper and then you can remove the fastener with hand. After this, you will have to locate three bolts, which are holding the fog light on the bumper. You will see them once you have removed the cover. Look at the bottom of the fog light assembly and start removing the bolts.
* Remove the fog light from the base and once you have replaced the fixture you can remove the cable as well. If you are planning to replace the fog lights then you can leave the cables as it is.
* Take out the access covering and the connector cable. You will have to push the bulb inside gently for separating the connection on the backside of the release bulb.
* Now, replace the fog lights, twist, push down, and start reassembling all the things in reversing order.
* Now you have learnt replacing fog lights and this can come handy in the future.

Tips and Warnings:

* Always remember that whenever you replace fog lights you must wear safety goggles when working with the fog lights. There are high chances that the fog light might explode when connected to higher voltage, so you must protect your eyes.
* Always be aware of the electrocution hazard. Since the electrical system of the car is only 12 volts, there will no problem. However, there can be a danger of fire if there is a short-circuit in the wiring.
