Blower motor removal for 1998 Chevrolet Tracker.

Blower Motor
Sidekick, Tracker, Sidekick Sport and X-90 Models
See Figures 3 and 4
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- On models with air bags, disable the system.
- Remove the glove box assembly by opening it, and loosening the pivot and retaining screws from inside the glove box with a screwdriver.
- On 1996-98 models, remove the instrument panel assist holder (lower brace).
- Remove the relays and relay bracket from the blower motor case.
- Disengage the blower motor and resistor wire connectors.
- Disconnect the fresh air control cable from the blower motor case.
- Remove the 3 blower motor mounting screws.
- Remove the blower motor.
To install:
- Install the blower motor and secure with the 3 screws.
- Connect the fresh air control cable to the blower motor case.
- Connect the electrical connectors and install the glove box assembly.
- Install the relay bracket and relays on the blower motor case.
- On 1996-98 models, install the instrument panel assist holder.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- If applicable, enable the air bag system.
- Check for proper blower motor operation.
