1998 Chrysler Sebring won't crank ?

It sounds like you have a bad starter. An intermittent starter will work sometimes, all of a sudden not work, then start working again. You will need to catch it when it is not working and make sure you have battery voltage on both terminals when cranking. If battery voltage is present and the starter is not working, then the starter is bad and will need to be replace.
First thing to check is to see if you have power at the brown wire at the starter. There should be power there with the key in the ON position. If there is, you have a bad starter.
