You start your car.You feel hot and turn ON AC.You get cool air, you are happily driving, suddenly the cooling stops. You think AC is turned OFF.But its ON.Again after some time it starts cooling, automatically. But this same problem appears.
This is AC INTERMITTENT COOLING problem.
This problem is caused by clogged orifice tube. When air and moisture enters the AC system the orifice tube gets blocked by ice getting formed and blocked in the orifice tube. And this intermittent cooling problem will be noticed.
In this case, you will have to remove the extra air from the system. You will have evacuate that air from system which is freezing the orifice tube.
You can do this with high capacity vacuum pump. The system must be connected to a vacuum pump to purge it of all air and moisture.
The AC system contains very less percent of air in it.When the percentage of air increases more then required then evaporator freezes and such problems are noticed.
NOW the main question comes is.
HOW THE AIR ENTERED IN THE SYSTEM?
There are many reasons for air getting in to the system.
The hoses are cracked or worn out, letting the air in to system,
The seals are loose and this causing air in the system.
The pressure port on the system is letting air in the system. There is cap covered on the pressure ports. If the cap gets loose or worn out then air will enter the system.
If you recently recharged refrigerant in you cars AC system, then while recharging the air entered the system.

BUT , now main task is to purge the extra out of the system.
For that, there are refrigerant identifier equipments available at local auto parts store. With the help of that air can be purged out of the system.Or the other option is to get extra air purged out of the ac system by local CAR AC rechgarge center. They have this tool with them. The air has to be purged out of the system, before recharging the AC system with refrigerant.
So they use this tool every-time.
