How to remove stuck up Ignition key on ford fusion?

First of all ,i will say, that this is not rare problem. This is very common problem, faced in lots of ford fusion models.Still is no such recall called by the company.

But there is simple procedure to get the key out. You can try the procedure:---

YOU MAY HAVE A BAD KEY IGNITION SENSOR. IF YOU OPEN UP YOUR STEERING WHEEL COLUMN YOU WILL SEE A SENSOR ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE STEERING WHEEL. It LOOKS LIKE A MUSHROOM AND SHOULD HAVE A WIRING HARNESS ATTACHED TO IT. IF YOU DETACHED THE HARNESS THE KEY SHOULD COME OUT SMOOTHLY.

Removed the center console to look around. You will find this silver metal mushroom shaped switch that controls the ignition /key assembly, it is located on the passengers side of the shift lever you  push it in and pull it out and the key comes out with no problem.

After all this I found a fix that does not require removing the center console. On the center console just to the right of the shift lever is a little removable plastic disk a bit smaller then a dime. Just pop this out with a small screwdriver and press the white plastic button down about 3/4 of an inch. (This actually moves that silver mushroom switch.) The key will now come out, if it doesn't you need to press the white button in further. You can  always keep a small screwdriver in the car just in case if the problem occurs. You can use the screw driver to push the white plastic button.

This mentioned procedure will help, you to fix this problem.
