How to replace Fuel Tank Assembly For Acura Car models?

Please Note This details and procedure are For Acura 1986 to 1993 car models.

Its For Acura Integra,Legend and Vigor car models.

The details are as follows :-----

Tank Assembly
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

1986-1989 Integra

1. Raise and safely support the vehicle and remove the rear wheels.
2. Remove the tank drain bolt and drain the fuel into an approved container.
3. Remove the fuel pump cover and disconnect the wiring for the gauge sending unit.
4. When disconnecting the hoses, twist and pull at the same time to work the hose off the tube.
5. Support the tank with a floor jack, remove the straps and lower the tank out of the vehicle. If it sticks on the undercoating, carefully pry it free.
6. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use a new sealing washer on the drain plug and torque to 36 ft. lbs. (50 Nm).

Vigor and 1990-93 Integra

1. Raise and safely support the vehicle and remove the rear wheels.
2. Remove the tank drain bolt and drain the fuel into an approved container.
3. Remove the rear seat and access panel and disconnect the gauge and pump wiring.
4. Remove the fuel hose protector and the 2-way valve. When disconnecting the hoses, twist and pull at the same time to work the hose off the tube.
5. Support the tank with a floor jack, remove the straps and lower the tank out of the vehicle. If it sticks on the undercoating, carefully pry it free.
6. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use a new sealing washer on the drain plug and torque to 36 ft. lbs. (50 Nm).

Legend

See Figures 1 and 2

1. On Sterling and 1989-90 Legend, remove the access panel from the floor of the trunk and disconnect the pump and gauge wiring.
2. On 1991-93 Legend, remove the rear seat and the access panel and disconnect the pump and gauge wiring.
3. Raise and safely support the vehicle and remove the rear wheels.
4. Remove the tank drain bolt and drain the fuel into an approved container.
5. Remove the fuel hose protector on 1991-93 models. When disconnecting the hoses, twist and pull at the same time to work the hose off the tube.
6. Support the tank with a floor jack, remove the straps and lower the tank out of the vehicle. If it sticks on the undercoating, carefully pry it free.
7. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use a new sealing washer on the drain plug and torque to 36 ft. lbs. (50 Nm).
