Jeep Grand Cherokee:Passenger side "power windows" not working

Passenger side window,Passenger side door lock and rear door will not operate.

Passenger window wont roll up

Vehicle Details:

Country: United States
Make (manufacturer): Jeep
Model: Grand Cherokee
Year: 2004
Engine (optional): V-8

More Details About the problem:

All driverside windows and door locks operate properly, but passenger side Doors won't open and lock from the keyless entry fob either.

TO TROUBLESHOOT THE PROBLEM FOLLOW THE DETAILS MENTIONED BELOW:

Car power window will not go up can be the issue with power window switch, window motor, window regulator, etc.

But for this case

These problems are all happening because the passenger door module is not awake.

Where is Door Module Located?

The passenger door module is located in the right front door and controls window and lock operation on the right side. It's also the receiver for the keyless entry, so that's why it's not working right now either.

Fuse is located  in the under hood fuse box supplies power to the door modules/switches. This is a 50 amp cartridge syle fuse. Here is a diagram of the circuit.

Any other possibility other then door module:

Most probably its door module itself but it's much more likely to be wiring. The wires at the joints and towards the connector get loose or broken in between, sometimes forms cracks and that causes the problem.

Suggestions on how to inspect and where to inspect the wiring:

When you open the door you'll see a black rubber boot that runs between the body and the door. This is where the wiring harness runs from the main harness to the door. Each time you open and close the door this wiring flexes and it can eventually break. If a power or ground feed to the door module breaks then it causes what you are having, and it's not an uncommon problem on the Grand Cherokee.

From Where To Start Troubleshooting:

To start tracing the fault i suggest to pop this boot open and inspect the wiring, you should find at least one wire is broken. There is a larger gauge black ground wire and a larger orange power feed wire that are the most common to break and the most suspect. If you don't see a break in the area you have the boot open find these two wires and give them a good tug, they may be broken in an area you can't see and pulling on them will help you find it if that's the case.

slide the rubber boot back and forth to find the actual wire damage.

What If See A Loose Or Cracked/Broken Wiring?

If you do find a break then splice in a little added wire, solder and heat shrink the connections and your windows and locks will be back to normal.

you will be able to see the broken ground wire:

But If All wires Look Good And Intact Then?

If you don't find a break then the next step would be to remove the door panel and check the power and ground right at the door module. If the powers and grounds are ok then it would need to be replaced, but that's probably not the case. At least 99% of the time this is simply a broken wire.As per my auto garage repair experience.

BUT MOSTLY:

This is a relatively common problem on these Jeeps. You most likely have a broken wire in the harness between your door and body.
Open the door and pull back the rubber boot that surrounds the harness. Tug on each of the wires to see if any are loose that you can pull out. It will most likely be the black (ground) wire. Just reconnect the broken wire(s) and you should be good to go.

If all of the wires are ok, then start checking for power and ground at the master switch.

This details will help.
thanks.
