I need To Know Whether my truck has XZZ option or not
Looking at purchasing a new EGR valve for 2005 Grand Caravan. The Auto part lists has 2 choices "WITH XZZ CODE" and "EXCEPT XZZ CODE"
How do I determine what I have on this vehicle?
The XZZ code is a sales option code.
This can be determined by last none digit of VIN number.
This can be determined from the last few digits of the VIN number.
The last 9 of my VIN are X5B391672,
It has XZZ code.
To replace EGR Valve
The EGR valve can be replaced with the alternator in place. First get a stubby 10mm wrench on the lower bolt without much trouble and hook another wrench into it to gain more torque, you will fee bit tough and uncomfortable putting that much torque on a 10mm head bolt with a 12-point box ended wrench.If thats the case then its suggested to pull the alternator off and used a 6-point socket instead just to make sure it didn't round off.If condition of bolts are not badly seized you can save some trouble, by replacing EGR valve without removing Alternator.
The EGR is on the right front corner of the engine, just above the alternator.
A Dodge or Chrysler dealer can use the VIN to sort out which you need.

The VIN of vehicle is a follows:
2C4GP54L15R275644
This Chrysler vehicle does not have the XZZ option, you do have the XZZA option, but this is just an internal Chrysler code for mid year tracking. Also you have an open G09 recall, this is for replacement of airbag sensors, so make sure you get the van in to a dealer to perform the recall, it is free.
2005 Dodge Grand Caravan and need to find out if my car has XZZ option or not. VIN is 2D4GP44L65R199948.
This dodge van does not have the XZZ option.
The Mopar part number for your upstream sensor is 56029052AA.
The part number for the downstream sensor is 56029050AA.
