Jeep commander: Car Won't Crank
All instrument lights light up, no clicking or cranking. remove key and lights stay on extra long.

THE TROUBLESHOOTING DETAILS IN THIS CASE:
There are quite a few things that could cause your condition and some electrical testing will need to be done to determine what is going on.
CHECK THIS THINGS ARE RIGHT IN PROPER POSITION:
Make sure that it shows you are in park. If the powertrain control module thinks that the shifter isn't in park then it's not going to crank. If the shift cable is misadjusted, the range sensor is bad or there is a wiring issue it may not see the trans is in park.
It could also be a powertrain control module or wiring issue but that would be less likely.
The Most Common Possibility:
The most common cause of a no crank situation on one of these is a poor connection at the starter solenoid terminal. Corrosion at the crimp where the terminal attaches to the wire will cause voltage drop and prevent the starter from engaging. You can pierce the wire a few inches up from the terminal using a test light and have a helper hold the key in the crank position, if it lights up and the large positive cable at the starter has power then you know there is a connection issue there. Cutting off the old terminal and installing a new one will correct this.
OTHER POSSIBILITY:
Starter For Jeep:
It may also be the starter. If the engine is properly grounded, the large cable at the starter has positive battery voltage and the solenoid wire has voltage in the crank position then you'll need a starter, assuming the engine will turn by hand.
REGARDING JEEP PARTS:
Once the fault is confirmed you can go for parts replacing. Please make sure you for good quality aftermarket jeep parts or go for branded jeep parts and accessories.
