Blower motor stopped working.Previously it use to stop for few minutes and then start operating.But later it completely stopped working.
In such cases first try this,
remove the blower motor out and test it individually .You will need to apply 12volts to the blower motor and see if its operating on external 12 volt.If yes then its confirmed that blower motor is not the issue and problem is anywhere else.
SO WHAT ARE THE OTHER POSSIBILITIES TO TRACE THE PROBLEM?
View the connector to the blower motor control module.On some of such cases the connector was melted.
Its a black wire running from this connector.
WHAT TO DO IF THE CONNECTOR IS MELTED?
In that case,there is a compatible Pigtail connector available at local auto parts store.
MY MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT IT CAN BE RESISTOR PROBLEM?
Yes,its possible,but not on your model jeep.On this model there is dual zone climate control so on this model there is blower motor control module instead of resistor.
WHAT IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BLOWER MOTOR MODULE AND RESISTOR?

A resistor is used on a manual temperature control system, your automatic system uses the blower motor power module. In case of resistor it steps down current to give a few different fixed motor speeds, a power module gives variable speed control.
The power modules on these vehicles did give quite a bit of problems, and others users too noticed this same kind of problem and due to these there was a design change.
NOW HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?
To completely fix these problem you need to replace the power module and the connector. If you just replaced the connector (if you could even get it out of the module) you'd only be repairing half of the actual problem. Overheating and a poor connection at the module are what caused the connector and wiring to overheat.And this caused the problem.So both blower motor module and its connector should be replaced.
OK,FROM WHERE TO ORDER THE PART?
For correct parts the kit is available from your dealer will come with a different style power module, an adapter plate to mount it to the heater box, a replacement connector, and a jumper to go from the module over to the blower motor. The new style power module is actually the same part used in the Chrysler RS body minivans and has more heat sink area to keep it cool.
OK,THAT'S GOOD.IS IT EASY TO REPLACE?
YES.you can yourself tackle this part replacing procedure.Its not very hard.Replacing it just involves cutting your old blower motor harness and removing the two screws that hold the module to the box. Once the old one is out then you'll install the mounting adapter to the heater box, which is just a piece of plastic held on with two screws.
Don't get confuse with the look of old and new module size.The old module is larger than the new one and the adapter takes up the space. With the battery disconnected you'll need to cut the old connector off and wire the new one on. Once the connector is wired up then there will be a two wire jumper that goes from the power module over to the blower motor.
NOT EVERY TIME,BUT ON SOME CASES YOU WILL NOTICE THAT,after you're done you may find that you have almost no air volume with the blower motor on high - ON THAT CASES you'll need to pop the lock wedge out of the blower motor jumper connector and swap the wires around. For some reason some of these jumpers had the wires swapped and it spins the blower motor backward causing very little air volume.
SO this is not that hard to start with.
If you normally do some somewhat basic repairs then you'll be able to handle this with no problem. The hardest part, which isn't hard at all, will be soldering the new connector on. It takes about a half hour to complete whole replacing procedure.
