toyota camry 3000 alarm reset?

The Camry comes equipped with an anti-theft system that is integrated with the power locking system. The alarm turns on when you lock the doors with a keyless entry remote. When you disable the battery in your Camry or have it replaced, the alarm system will need to be reset.
The procedure is as follows:---
  • 1) Put the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position but don't start the engine. Find the valet switch located near the hood release. Turn the switch on and off quickly three times. Wait for the alarm to chirp.

  • 2)Press and hold down the lock and unlock buttons on your keyless entry remote. Release the buttons when you hear a long beep from the alarm system.
  • 3)Turn the valet switch on, then off again quickly. Turn off the vehicle and remove the ignition key. Lock the doors with the remote to see if it works.
    ----------------
    1) Put the key in ignition and turn it to "On" position.
2.) Turn the valet swith (Driver side, near hood opener) "On and then Off then On then Off then On and then finally Off".
3.) You should hear the chirp noise.
4.) Press and hold the lock/unlock button on your alarm till you hear long beep.
5.) Turn Valet switch On and then Off again.
6.) Turn the key to off and remove.
7.) It should program your remote.

THE PROCEDURE TO PROGRAM TOYOTA CAMRY KEY FOB:----------
Programming a keyless entry system is no exception. Every Toyota is made with an on-board computer system that regulates the entire vehicle. The hardest trick is figuring out how to explain to the vehicle that you want to program a keyless system in it. The rule is this: You cycle your ignition switch to tell the car that you are going to program something to it. The car will automatically set itself to a programming mode, and from that point on it is just a matter of following the right sequence.:----------
  • Ensure the car doors are unlocked and open. Pull the key from the ignition.

  • Insert and remove the key from the ignition two times within five seconds. This will start the required sequence to reprogram the car's computer.
  • Close and open the driver's door twice within 40 seconds. This step has to be within that time, or the system will reset.
  • Insert the key into the ignition. Do not turn the key yet.
  • Cycle the key from "lock" to "on." You will need to cycle this step one time for the "add" mode.
  • Remove the key from the ignition. Immediately grab the transmitter to complete the program.
  • Press both the lock and unlock buttons on your transmitter simultaneously for 1 to 1 1/2 seconds. Release the buttons afterwards.
  • Press the lock button within three seconds of releasing on the last step. This will complete the process. The door locks will cycle from lock to unlock if the process is done correctly. If there is a problem, the lock will cycle twice.
  • Open the driver's door. This will complete the process.

More procedures for reprogramming key fob
    ::::::::::------------
Here are the procedures to manipulate the remote door lock system. As
you can see they are hardly difficult programming exercises. Any
competent mechanic should be able to do it in 20 minutes including
time for paperwork, coffee, sharing a dirty joke with the next guy,
and a cigarette break. Competence, in this case, means the ability to
read and follow instructions, not even knowing anything about cars.

As with anything, try these at your own risk. If you accidently
reprogram your engine to produce 200HP don't blame me!

There are four different modes you can use to program remote door lock
    functions.

Confirmation mode allows you to check the number of transmitters
    recorded.
Add mode allows you to add a transmitter without disturbing existing
    transmitters.
Rewrite mode allows you to replace all existing transmitters with new
    ones.
Prohibition mode erases all transmitters and turns off the remote door
    lock function.

Confirmation mode. To check for the number of remotes programmed into
    the car:

Start with the key out of the car, driver's door open and unlocked.

1.Insert key in ignition and pull out
    2. Within 5 seconds, insert the key in the ignition and pull out
    again.
    3. Within 40 seconds, close and open the driver's door twice, then
insert and remove the key from the ignition again.
    4. Within 40 more seconds, close and open the driver's door twice,
then insert the key in the ignition and close the driver's door.
    5. Turn ignition switch from LOCK to ON to OFF three times, leaving
the key on for one second and off for one second each time.
    6. Remove the key from the ignition lock.

The doors will lock and unlock themselves at about 2 second intervals.
The number of times that the doors lock is the number of remotes that
are programmed into the car. If the car locks/unlocks 5 times, there
    are no codes registered.

Add mode. To add a remote without disturbing existing remotes:

Start with the key out of the car, driver's door open and unlocked.

1.Insert key in ignition and pull out
    2. Within 5 seconds, insert the key in the ignition and pull out
    again.
    3. Within 40 seconds, close and open the driver's door twice, then
insert and remove the key from the ignition again.
    4. Within 40 more seconds, close and open the driver's door twice,
then insert the key in the ignition and close the driver's door.
    5. Turn ignition switch from LOCK to ON to OFF, leaving the key on for
one second and off for one second.
    6. Remove the key from the ignition lock.

The doors will lock and unlock themselves once.

    7. Within 40 seconds, press the lock and unlock buttons on the
transmitter at the same time and release.
    8. Within 3 seconds, press either switch and release.

The doors will lock and unlock themselves once if the registration was
successful. They will lock and unlock twice if the registration
    failed.

    9. If you have other remotes to program, go back to step 7 within 40
    seconds.
    10. Insert the key in the ignition or open a door to complete
    registration.

Rewrite mode: To erase all remotes and add new ones:

Start with the key out of the car, driver's door open and unlocked.

1.Insert key in ignition and pull out
    2. Within 5 seconds, insert the key in the ignition and pull out
    again.
    3. Within 40 seconds, close and open the driver's door twice, then
insert and remove the key from the ignition again.
    4. Within 40 more seconds, close and open the driver's door twice,
then insert the key in the ignition and close the driver's door.
    5. Turn ignition switch from LOCK to ON to OFF twice, leaving the key
on for one second and off for one second each time.
    6. Remove the key from the ignition lock.

The doors will lock and unlock themselves twice, indicating that you
    are in rewrite mode.

Prohibition mode: To erase all codes and disable wireless door lock
    function:

Start with the key out of the car, driver's door open and unlocked.

1.Insert key in ignition and pull out
    2. Within 5 seconds, insert the key in the ignition and pull out
    again.
    3. Within 40 seconds, close and open the driver's door twice, then
insert and remove the key from the ignition again.
    4. Within 40 more seconds, close and open the driver's door twice,
then insert the key in the ignition and close the driver's door.
    5. Turn ignition switch from LOCK to ON to OFF five times, leaving the
key on for one second and off for one second each time.
    6. Remove the key from the ignition lock.

The doors will lock and unlock themselves 5 times at about 1 second
    intervals.
