BUTTERFLY BUCKLE (INSIDE OPEN)
*Inside open butterfly buckles have a small tube protruding from the band end.
*Using a digital gauge measure the outside diameter of the old clasp itself and the outside diameter of the tube protruding from the band end. Using the opposite end of the gauge to determine the diameter of the hole for the thickness of the pin to attach the clasp to the band.
*Choose the correct buckle.
*Choose the correct spring bar for the clasp to band pin generally you will want to use a steel double flange style
*Insert the spring bar into the clasp end and line up to watch band.
*Using the forked end of spring bar tool push first one end in to the case, then the other end.
*Repeat the previous bullet point on the other side.
BUTTERFLY BUCKLE (PUSH BUTTON STYLE)
*Butterfly buckles have a small tube protruding from the clasp end and a button on each side of the clasp.
*Using a digital gauge measure the outside diameter of the old clasp itself and the outside diameter of the tube protruding from the clasp end or the opening of the cut out in the band. Using the opposite end of the gauge to determine the diameter of the hole for the thickness of the pin to attach the clasp to the band.
*Choose the correct buckle. It is important to choose the correct one so that the buttons will be available when band is closed.
*Choose the correct spring bar for the clasp to band pin generally you will want to use a steel double flange style.
*Insert the spring bar into the clasp end and line up to watch band.
*Using the forked end of spring bar tool push first one end in to the case, then the other end.
*Repeat the previous bullet point on the other side.

DEPLOYMENT STYLE
*Remove old clasp.
*Using a digital gauge measure the outside diameter of the band end.
*Choose the color of clasp needed.
*Place the spring bar through the open end of the band.
*Using the forked end of spring bar tool push down on first one spring bar and fit into the end of the clasp, then push down the opposite end to secure completely
SINGLE FOLD STYLE
*Lay watch on its side in a watch band holder.
*Remove old clasp .
*Using the short end spring bars included with the new clasp, insert spring bar through one end of the clasp and using the forked end of spring bar tool attach the clasp to the band.
*Repeat the previous bullet point on the other side.
TRI-FOLD CLASP (NO BUTTONS OR SECURITY CATCH)
*Lay the watch on its side in a watch band holder.
*Remove old clasp.
*Using a digital gauge measure the outside width of the band the clasp will fit over.
*Choose the color of clasp needed.
*Using short end spring bars included with the clasp, first slide the spring bar through the band end and insert into the clasp top using the forked end of spring bar tool.
*Insert the spring bar into the other end of the band and insert.
TRI-FOLD CLASP WITH SECURITY CATCH
*Lay watch on its side in a watch band holder.
*Remove old clasp.
*Using the short end spring bars included with the new clasp, insert spring bar through one end of the clasp and insert into the top portion of the clasp using the forked end of spring bar tool.
*Using pin and band ends line up the security catch onto the clasp top and insert the pin through the catch and the band.
*Line up the band pin ends into each side of the watch clasp in watch band holder and using hammer pound down on one side until pin is inserted completely.
*Repeat the previous bullet point on the other side and pin.
CENTER STYLE CATCH CLASP - OPEN END
**NOTE** Open end clasps are used on bands that have permanent pins holding the clasp to the band.
*Using a digital gauge measure between the clasp ends where the clasp will fit into.
*Order the clasp size and color that is needed.
*Using Jeweler's Pliers open the rounded end of the clasp.
*Attach the clasp to the permanent bar and crimp the end closed over the permanent bar.
FOLD OVER STYLE CLASP
*Lay watch face down on a selvyt cloth.
*Using the pointed end of spring bar tool lift up on the locked portion of the clasp.
*Repeat the previous bullet point for the other side.
*Using digital gauge measure the outside diameter of the band that the clasp is going to go over.
*Choose the color clasp needed.
*Open the new clasp and slide the ends over the band.
*Using a screwdriver lay it flat across the band latch and slightly pound down on the latch with hammer.
*Repeat the previous bullet point for the other side.
SLIDING STYLE CLASP
*Lay watch face down on a Selvyt Cloth.
*Using the pointed end of spring bar tool lift up on a locked portion of the clasp.
*Using digital gauge measure the outside diameter of the band that the clasp is going to go over.
*Choose the color clasp needed.
*Open the new clasp and slide the end over the band.
*Using a screwdriver lay it flat across the band latch and slightly pound down on a latch with hammer.
*Using tix solder attach top portion of the clasp to the other end of the band if needed.
CENTER CATCH STYLE CLASP - SOLID LINK
**NOTE** Solid link clasps are used on bands that have removable screws holding the clasp to the band.
*Lay the watch on its side in band holder with the clasp end over a hole for the removable pin to come out of the watch.
*Using a pin pusher, determine the size of the pusher you will need.
*Place the pusher tip over the pin to be removed and with a hammer slightly pound down until the pin comes out of the watch.
*Using digital gauge measure between the lugs where the clasp will fit and determine the width of the clasp needed, whether it is a single channel clasp or double channel clasp and the color needed.
*Turn the watch over and put back into holder.
*Line the clasp up and insert the pin into position.
*With a hammer pound slightly on the pin until inserted in the watch with the clasp attached.
