How Replacing The Fuse solved The problem

A/C Problem On Lexus:

Problem Solved:

It was the 10a fuse labeled ECM. I never use my seat memory switch so I did not know there was a problem at that point. My AC light would come on but it has been so cold, I did not realize there was a problem. I did notice that whenever I put the climate control on AUTO MODE that the heat was always directed at the floor but that did not click. I have been told that I had a bad switch and bought a new one to no avail. I was told that I had a bad ground so I took off the panels under the steering wheel and looked and got nothing wrong there. I was at the point of taking it to the dealer. Just to probably be charged for an hours work for a little fuse.Replacing the fuse solved the problem completely.

1999 Lexus LX470: DTC C1252 and C1256 Code Detected?

C1252 Code indicates Faulty Hydro-Boost pump and Code C1256 points towards accumulator pressure low.

These do not normally fail. Based on CODE description however it does sound like the accumulator has failed. When the pump runs continuous it means that is not building pressure so that it shuts off. The pump should cycle on to pressure up the system then cycle back off. It's a long shot but you could possibly have the technician flush the brake system by using the active testing scan tool to operate the pump and push fluid out all four wheels cylinders. If it will not consistently bleed hydraulic pressure while active testing with the tech view scan tool or similar scan tool then you're looking at a bad accumulator pump assembly.

Unfortunately your options are limited here. This code sets whenever electric pump in the Hydro system runs longer than it is designed to or supposed to. Its advisable to get this parts tested/ inspected with proper Professional  mechanic so the correct diagnosis can be done to confirm the problem. The parts cost is  heavy in such cases. The cost can go approx $4000 for replacing whole ABS cannister, computer and motors.
You might consider trying to find a used one otherwise you're at the mercy of Lexus and other high dollar pump assembly. It comes with the new accumulator computer and pump motor. Due to the complexity of this component none of the parts are available separate and they're not re-buildable.

This details will help you to understand the problem. So you follow the correct path in getting the parts checked, before getting this problem solved.

Thanks.

Lexus ES300: Replace AC Compressor?

The Air conditioner stopped working.Inspection and testing shows Compressor is short.

Replacing the compressor is not very hard. But a proper knowledgeable person can do it.

Provided the filter dryer did not disintegrate or break apart anything that was in the compressor should have been caught in the filter/dryer. Replacing the compressor and dryer should be all that you need. The expansion valve at this point should not be needed. Make sure that you replace any O-rings with new ones that are designed for this system. Make sure that you add a few ounces of refrigeration oil into the dryer and into the compressor. Lubricates all O-rings with refrigeration oil before putting them on. If this is a used compressor a lot of times it oil has leaked out of it.
Just get the O rings wet with the oil before assembling.Put the O-ring on then put a few drops on the O-ring all the way around. The O-rings have to be wet with oil or they will not slide in and could potentially tear. When adding be couple of ounces of refrigeration oil to the components just pour it into either of the openings usually about 1 to 2 ounces in each component will suffice.

This details will help.
Thanks.

2003 Lexus ES: VSC, TRAC OFF, ABS lights ON?

In this type of cases check engine light is not illuminated and brake function normal. But you notice VSC/Trac off and ABS lights come on.

Also in some cases the driver has noticed Vibration too.
But i will say that,The vibration is not likely related to the VSC. That is probably tire or brake rotor related.
And as this Lights come on,i suggest you to first retrieve the Error codes.
The procedure is as follows:----
Place a jumper wire or paper clip in TC and CG. IF there is a code 12 for example with the key in the on position the check engine light will flash one time then a slight pause then two flashes. If there is more then one code the others will follow.

It's a matter of inserting a jumper wire or one small paperclip between the two terminals. Once this is done turn the ignition key on and monitor the vehicle skid control light or VSC light and the ABS light. When the key is in the on position and this jumper wire is installed the light will flash a series of codes as I explained above.

In most cases you will receive code 43,31 and 35.

I will give details for all three.
The VSC light flashes as 4-3 interval (4-3 ...4-3 ... 4-3...etc.) and the ABS light flashes a 3-1-3-5 interval (3-1-3-5 ... 3-1-3-5 ... 3-1-3-5 ... etc).

The code 43 means low battery voltage to the actuator for the abs and VSC system. This can be a bad battery or poorly charging alternator to a problem with the connector to the unit.
The 31 and 35 indicate a problem with the Right Front wheel speed sensor(WSS). The 35 is an issue with debris on the tip of the sensor. Focus on the right front sensor repair first.

The right front WSS is on the passenger side. The right front is always as you're sitting in the car which would make it the passenger front wheel. The only way to accurately test and alternator is by reading the voltage at the battery should be between 13.2 and 14.2 volts. You would need an amp meter in order to test the current flow or output of the alternator. Typically though if you're getting at least 13.2 V the alternator normally is charging fine.

PLEASE NOTE:---If the system is no longer flashing a code there may be an issue in the computer for the VSC system. This may require a scan tool to get in to further diagnostics of the system.

ONE MORE HELPFUL INFO:---
You can continue to drive this vehicle. You just will not have ABS function or vehicle skid control functions. It will accelerate and brake as a normal vehicle.

This details will help.
Thanks.

Lexus RX: Tapping noise under Valve Cover At Low RPM?

The Clicking or tapping noise is heard from under the valve cover. The noise is heard when RPM is Low,the noise gets low or quits away when RPM is high.

The Noise at IDLE.

In most of such cases its seen that CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON.
There are multiple things that can cause this type of noise. It could be low oil pressure or it could be something in the variable valve timing on the camshaft itself. There also are possible issues with the valve clearances. Have you ever had the malfunction codes checked in the engine control computer that are causing the check engine light illuminate? Most auto-parts stores like AutoZone or similar in most states do free malfunction code reads. This code number could give some insight as to what's going on. If it is not a severe knocking noise and there's no loss or performance or cylinder misfire you should be fine to drive for now. However if you're getting any coolant loss or unusual noises in the timing belt cover towards the front of the engine you could have the water pump starting fail. If the timing belt has never been done this could be an issue also.

This details will help.
Thanks.

2004 Lexus LX: Hood Release Broken?

Hood Will not Open. The Cable operating hood is stuck up or Broken.

Try this option.
This will need one helper.
With the help of Helper push down then pull up on the hood while you pull the latch release from inside the car.
See if this is helping to get the hood Open.

If the hood is not getting budge up with this basic procedure then unfortunately your options are limited here. The cable has broken at the latch or the latch mechanism is jammed. In some cases mechanics remove the cable and from the inner fender well and have it extended straight out from the side of the car and pull on the inner cable with vise grips or pliers. The straight on approach and the extra effort with the pliers some time can force the latch open as opposed to the plastic lever latch. If this does not work you are resigned to try and go up under the hood between the bumper and the front A/C condenser the try and get to the latch.
This is extremely difficult. The latch has a protective cover on it. This may be a shop or body shop extraction issue.

This details will help.
Thanks.
