Procedure to replace Fuel Pressure Regulator on Acura Car models?


Please Note This details and procedure are For Acura 1986 to 1993 car models.

Its For Acura Integra,Legend and Vigor car models.

The details are as follows :-----

Fuel Pressure Regulator
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION: ----

See Figures 1 and 2
  1. Place a cloth or rag under the regulator. Be prepared to contain escaping fuel.
  2. Relieve the fuel system pressure at the fuel filter.
  3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the regulator.
  4. Disconnect the fuel line from the regulator; plug the line to prevent spillage or the entry of dirt.
  5. Remove the 2 retaining bolts and remove the regulator.

  1. Remove the O-ring from the regulator and discard it.
To install:
  1. Install a new O-ring on the regulator; coat the ring lightly with a thin coat of clean, fresh oil.
  2. Install the regulator, making sure the O-ring is not distorted or damaged. Tighten the retaining bolts to 9 ft. lbs. (12 Nm).
  3. Connect the fuel line.
  4. Install the vacuum line.

Removal & Installation



2001-02 Models
  1. Place a shop towel under the fuel pressure regulator, then relieve fuel pressure as outlined in this section.
  2. Disconnect the vacuum hose (A) and fuel return hose (B).
  3. Loosen the locking nut (C), and remove the fuel pressure regulator (D).
To install:
  1. Apply clean engine oil to a new O-ring (E), and carefully install it into its proper position. Install the fuel pressure regulator in the fuel joint. Turn it by hand until stops.

  2. Turn the fuel pressure regulator (A) counterclockwise to set the angle as shown. The locking nut to 22 ft. lbs. (29 Nm).
    NOTE
    Replace the O-ring.

  3. When assembling the fuel pressure regulator, apply clean engine oil to the O-ring and assemble it into its proper position, taking care not to damage the O-ring.
  4. Reconnect the vacuum hose and fuel return hose.
  5. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), but do not operate the starter. After the fuel pump runs for about 2 seconds, the fuel pressure in the fuel line rises. Repeat this 2 or 3 times, then check whether there is any fuel leakage.
2003-06 Models
  1. Remove the fuel tank unit, as follows.
    NOTE
    Fuel tank unit removal requires the use of a Fuel Sender Wrench, special tool no. 07AAA-S0XA100 or equivalent.

    1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
    2. Remove the driver's side second row seat.
    3. Cut the carpet at the dotted line (A). Be careful not to cut the wire harness under the carpet.

    4. Remove the access panel from the floor, then disconnect the fuel pump 5P connector.
    5. Remove the fuel fill cap.
    6. Relieve fuel pressure.
    7. Disconnect the quick-connect fitting from the fuel tank unit.
    8. Using the special tool, loosen the fuel tank unit locknut (A).

    9. Remove the locknut (A) and fuel tank unit (B).

  2. Remove the clip (A).
  3. Remove the fuel pressure regulator (B).
To install:
  1. Install the regulator in the reverse order of removal with new O-rings (C).

  2. Align the marks (C) on the fuel tank (D) and the fuel tank unit, then install the fuel tank unit in the reverse order of removal with a new gasket (E).
  3. Install the fuel tank in the reverse of the removal procedure.

1996 nissan altima fuel system removing and installation?

Nissan Altima Fuel Pump And Fuel Pressure Regulator Removal Procedure 

Start by locating the fuel pump cover under the rear seat. Remove the fuel pump cover by removing the four screws that hold it in place. You then need to remove the locking ring. It should twist right off. Disconnect the electrical connectors of the fuel pump. Disengage the fuel lines from the car’s fuel pump assembly as well.Remove the entire assembly and replace with a new one the same way the old one was removed.
