Buick Lesabre Key Fob Reprogramming?

Key fob Programming is possible.But in some cases the programming dont work.This is due to two reasons.
Either you have not tried the procedure correctly or on your car the manual Key Fob Programming is not supporting.In that case I'm afraid its job for a dealership or a auto locksmith as you need someone with the OBD tools to plug into the car and re-code the key.Also all the keys have to be re-coded at the same time otherwise you'll get the new out of sync with the old.

Now the Key Fob Programming procedure is as follows :----------
First check that the battery in the key-fob is in good condition ( typically needs replacing every 5 years or so).
To do this Reprogramming procedure you will nee the OBD Scan Tool.
The scan tool is a diagnostic tool that automotive technicians use to diagnose & repair the computer systems of your automobile.

The details are as follows :----

Remote Control Door Lock Transmitter Programming:--
Important: 
  • All transmitters which are to be recognized by the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) must be programmed in a single programming sequence. 
  • If the system is placed in program mode, all previously programmed transmitters will be erased upon the receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter. 
  • Up to four transmitters may be programmed. Do not operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode. 
  • This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle. The order in which the transmitters are programmed is important. 
  • The first transmitter programmed will be transmitter #1, and the second transmitter programmed will be transmitter #2. 
  • The number on the transmitters are for reference only: #2 can be programmed as #1, or vice versa. Additional unnumbered transmitters are also available. Use care to program the transmitters correctly.
Now to Program Key Fob: Install a scan tool.
1) Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
2) Use the scan tool Remote Function Actuation Special Function: 
  • Program Key Fobs in order to place the remote control door lock receiver into Program Mode. 
  • The doors will lock and then unlock in order to confirm program mode.
Important: 
  • The scan tool must stay connected until all of the transmitters are programmed.

3) Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. 
4) After a delay of 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock in order to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
5) Repeat the previous step in order to program up to 4 transmitters.
6) Remove the scan tool.
Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation is working correctly.

But in some cases this procedure don't work and needs reset by dealer scan tool.Or in case if you don't have OBD scan tool.Then you have to either get a rent scan tool from auto parts store or get this procedure done by your car dealer.

OldsMobile Aurora Key Fob Reprogramming?

Key fob Programming.Yes its possible.But in some cases the programming dont work.This is due to two reasons.
Either you have not tried the procedure correctly or on your car the manual Key Fob Programming is not supporting.In that case I'm afraid its job for a dealership or a auto locksmith as you need someone with the OBD tools to plug into the car and re-code the key.Also all the keys have to be re-coded at the same time otherwise you'll get the new out of sync with the old.

Now the Key Fob Programming procedure is as follows :----------
First check that the battery in the key-fob is in good condition ( typically needs replacing every 5 years or so).
1) To resynchronize the transmitter, perform the following steps.
2)Hold the transmitter within range of the vehicle.
3)Press and hold the transmitter LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 8 seconds.
4)When the transmitter is synchronized with the vehicle. The horn sounds and the exterior lights flash if the transmitter is programed to do these functions.

This is basic procedure.In most of the cases this helps.But if this procedure is not helping,then there is one more procedure.

In this procedure you will have to connect jumper wire to the KeyFob connections in the data lick connector.The data link connector also known as ECM.The connector where you plug the OBD Scan tool.
This data link connector is located under the driver side of the dash.
Now What you have to do is connect a jumper wire between pins 8 (black/whit wire) and pin 4 (black wire) of the data link connector.

See the diagram show below,that will give you better understanding.

This is a view of the data link connector and In that you you can clearly see what pins are what.Pin number 4 and 8 both are in top line.
1) Now jumper 8 and 4 with a wire.
2) Close all doors.
3) Turn ignition on.The locks will cycle.
4) Press and hold lock and unlock of the transmitter until locks cycle again (up to 30 seconds).
5) Repeat this step with additional transmitters until all transmitters have been programed.
6) When finished, without forget remove jumper wire BEFORE turning key off.
They should now work.

But if still its not working,then problem is major.It has to be reset by dealer scan tool and also the key fob has to be inspected.Get it done by your car dealer.

Now the Key Fob Programming procedure is as follows :----------
First check that the battery in the key-fob is in good condition ( typically needs replacing every 5 years or so)
Re-code as follows:
1. Switch Ignition ON and leave the key in the ignition.
2. Mechanically lock the vehicle using the Drivers door using a second key.
3. Using the remote control press the Unlock button once, and the horn will sound once.
4. Wait 6 seconds and press the unlock button once to activate the coding procedure. The remote control will now be programmed.

NOTE : When performing programming on additional remotes the procedure is the same, except you press the unlock button 2, 3 or 4 times for the different remote.
For example : If programming 2 remotes press the unlock button twice with a 1 second interval between each press, repeat for 3 and 4 remotes.

5. Switch Ignition OFF.
6. Remove key from ignition and check for operation.
7. The coding procedure can be repeated up to 4 times for additional remotes.
8. The ignition must be switched OFF between programming each remote control.

In most of the cases this procedure help.Hope in your case also it should work.
