Blinkers not working after car sitting overnight
Vehicle pulls while driving
There are two issues.
Turn signal works ok,but problem starts after vehicle sits overnight. So its intermittent problem. Also while driving it feels like vehicle pulls.
The turn signal working intermittently could be the related to faulty multifunction switch or it could be the flasher.
Most issues on these are caused by the flasher. The easiest thing to do would be to tap on the flasher when it acts up and see if the turn signals come back, if they do then you know for sure it's a flasher problem.
It sounds like the engine is cranking slowly after it sits overnight or after it sits for few days days before you start driving.
I suggest start by having the battery load tested and replace it if necessary. If it's found to be ok then a parasitic load test will need to be done to see if there is a draw, and then narrow it down from there by removing fuses one at time.
And regarding other issue ..........
Vehicle pulls while driving has few possibilities:
If it's pulling while driving it could be a bad tire, low tire, loose or binding component in the front end or an alignment issue. If you have a brake caliper dragging that will cause a pull also.
Dragging brakes?
http://howtobyme.blogspot.in/2012/03/dragging-brakes.htmlIf the tires have been ruled out for sure and the brakes are ok then the steering and suspension will need to be inspected, an alignment performed if nothing is found.
Each and everything is not faulty, but everything is possible.
So exactly tracing the fault will take some time.Get the mentioned possibility inspected properly before you rule out faulty part.
This will help.
Thanks.
Also go through how to remove multifunction switch:----
Removal & Installataion
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Remove the knee blocker from the instrument panel.
- Remove the three screws that secure the lower steering column shroud to the upper shroud.
- If the vehicle is equipped with a standard non-tilt steering column, loosen the two upper steering column mounting nuts. If the vehicle is equipped with the optional tilt steering column, move the tilt steering column to the fully lowered position.
- Remove both the upper and lower shrouds from the steering column.
- Remove the two screws that secure the multi-function switch water shield and bracket to the top of the steering column.
- Remove the one screw located below the left multi-function switch control stalk that secures the multi-function switch water shield and bracket to the steering column.
- Gently pull the lower mounting tab of the multi-function switch water shield bracket away from the steering column far enough to clear the screw boss below the left multi-function switch control stalk.
- Lift the water shield and bracket with the left multi-function switch off of the left side of the steering column far enough to access the two instrument panel wire harness connectors for the left multi-function switch.NOTEIf the vehicle is equipped with the optional tilt steering column, lifting gently upward on the tilt release lever will provide additional clearance to ease left multi-function switch removal.
- Disconnect the two instrument panel wire harness connectors from the left multi-function switch connector receptacles.
- Remove the left multi-function switch and water shield from the steering column as a unit.
- Gently and carefully remove the water shield from the switch by pulling it over the hazard warning switch button and the left multi-function switch control stalk.
To install:
- Gently and carefully install the water shield onto the switch by pulling it over the hazard warning switch button and the left multi-function switch control stalk.
- Position the left multi-function switch and water shield near its mounts on the steering column as a unit.
- Reconnect the two instrument panel wire harness connectors to the left multi-function switch connector receptacles.
- Position the left multi-function switch onto its mounts on the left side of the steering column.NOTEIf the vehicle is equipped with the optional tilt steering column, lifting gently upward on the tilt release lever will provide additional clearance to ease left multi-function switch installation.
- Position the lower mounting tab of the multi-function switch water shield bracket to the steering column screw boss below the left multi-function switch control stalk.
- Install and tighten the one screw located below the left multi-function switch control stalk that secures the multi-function switch water shield and bracket to the steering column.
- Tighten the screw to 10 inch lbs. (1.1 Nm).
- Install and tighten the two screws that secure the multi-function switch water shield and bracket to the top of the steering column [Tighten the screws to 20 inch lbs. (2.2 Nm)].
- Position both the upper and lower shrouds onto the steering column.
- Install and tighten the three screws that secure the lower steering column shroud to the upper shroud. Tighten the screws to 18 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
- If the vehicle is so equipped, tighten the two nuts that secure the non-tilt steering column upper mounting bracket to the dash panel steering column support bracket studs. Tighten the nuts to 200 inch lbs. 22 Nm).
- Reinstall the knee blocker onto the instrument panel.
- Reconnect the battery negative cable.
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.WARNINGWait two minutes for the airbag system reserve capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service.
- From below the steering column, remove the three screws that secure the lower steering column shroud to the multi-function switch mounting housing.
- Using hand pressure, push gently inward on both sides of the upper shroud near the parting line between the upper and lower shrouds to release the snap features that secure the two shroud halves together.
- Remove both the upper and lower shrouds from the steering column.
- Remove the Steering Control Module (SCM) from the steering column.
- Remove the two screws that secure the left multifunction switch to the SCM .
- Disengage the two retaining tabs , next to the screw mounts that secure the left multi-function switch to the SCM.
- Disconnect the left multi-function switch from the SCM.
To install:
- Position the left multi-function switch onto position on the Steering Control Module (SCM) .
- Engage the two retaining tabs, next to the screw mounts that secure the left multi-function switch and firmly snap into place.
- Install the two screws that secure the left multifunction switch to the SCM. Tighten the screws to 22 inch lbs. (2.5 Nm).
- Position the lower steering column shroud to the underside of the steering column.
- Install the three screws that secure the lower steering column shroud to the multi-function switch mounting housing. Tighten the screws to 17 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
- Position the upper column shroud over the steering column with the hazard warning switch button inserted through the hole in the upper shroud.
- Align the snap features on the upper and lower shrouds and apply hand pressure to snap them together.
- Reconnect the battery negative cable.
