Headlight Assembly Removal On Honda Accord

Please Note.To remove headlight assembly the Front bumper has to be removed.

The procedure for 2001 and 2002 Honda Accord.

The front bumper needs to be removed to replace the headlight assembly. Here's how to do it.

There are four bolts behind front bumper that are visible through the slots in the bumper.

Loosen the bolts from behind the front bumper with a socket wrench, and remove them from the bumper.


The diagram will help you to locate screws and fenders




Also remove the screws in the wheel well.This screws hold the bumper to the vehicle frame on the same side as the headlight.
Remove all  the screws that are holding the bumper to the frame, using a screwdriver, so that you can pull the bumper away from the headlight.

To Remove the front bumper to access head light assembly
Disconnect the connectors (Marked as A).
Remove the 5 mounting bolts (Marked as B), then remove the headlight assembly which is marked as C.



Once the bumper is removed you will remove three 10mm bolts from the brace on the bottom then the two 10mm bolts on the top. Once unbolted disconnect the bulb connectors.

The Procedure to replace headlight assembly for 2010 Buick Lacrosse is as follows:----

Please Note on 2010 Buick Lacrosse model the headlight assembly is not Plug and play.

The front bumper fascia must be removed.
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement

Preliminary Procedures 1.Remove the front compartment sight shield. Raise and support the vehicle. 2.Front Bumper Fascia Push-In Retainer (Qty: 4) 3.Front Fender Liner Screw (Qty: 10) Tighten 3 N·m (27 lb in) 4.Front Fascia to Fender Bolt (Qty: 2) Tighten 3 N·m (27 lb in) 5.Front Fender Liner to Fender Screw (Qty: 6) Tighten 3 N·m (27 lb in) 6.Front Fascia Bolt (Qty: 2) Tighten 3 N·m (27 lb in) 7.Front Bumper Fascia Screw (Qty: 4) Tighten 3 N·m (27 lb in) 8. Front Bumper Fascia Fender Bracket Removal Procedure
	Carefully push a small nylon wedge between the fascia and the bracket. Insert a small flat-bladed tool into the fascia slot and depress the snaps one at a time and pull on the fascia at the same time to gradually remove the fascia from the bracket. 9. Front Bumper Fascia Headlamp Bracket Procedure Carefully push a small nylon wedge between the fascia and the bracket. Insert a small flat-bladed tool into the fascia slot and depress the snaps one at a time and pull on the fascia at the same time to gradually remove the fascia from the bracket. 10. Front Bumper Fascia Procedure Disconnect the electrical connectors. Transfer parts as needed. Ensure the slot in the bottom center of the fascia engages with the molded in stud in the bottom of the front lower impact bar.

Headlamp Replacement  Diagram is shown below:----

Preliminary Procedure 1. Remove the front bumper fascia. Headlamp Screw (Qty: 4) Tighten 2.5 N·m (22 lb in)
2	. Headlamp Assembly (W/Front Side Marker and Park and Turn Signal Lamp)    Removal Procedure Pull the headlamp assembly forward in order to access and disconnect the forward lamp harness electrical connector from the headlamp jumper harness connector. Remove the headlamp bulb accessory covers. Transfer the headlamp bulbs as needed. Aim the headlamps after the headlamps have been re-installed.
