Chevy Tahoe: Low Beam Lamps are not working?

All other lights work but low beam lights not working.
In most cases its faulty relay.Replace High beam relay to low beam relay and see if low beam lights are coming ON or not.
If yes then Relay is problem.
If not then,
Either the dimmer switch (part of turn signal switch) has gone bad or you have a wiring issue. I have seen the wiring in the steering column leading up to the dimmer switch break from tilting the column up and down. Check the wiring in the column, if you do not find a problem here, replace the dimmer switch.

This details will help.
Thanks.

2001 Chevrolet Tahoe: Headlights not coming ON?

All other lights work, but both low beam and High beam lights are not working.

There are many possibilities that can cause this problem.
A faulty head light controlling fuse or faulty head light controlling relay.Faulty head light switch or loose/ short wiring.

But Most commonly this is caused by a faulty multifunction switch, At the headlamp
dimmer switch, ground the Purple wire at pin E11 and see if headlights now come
on. Do the same thing at Yellow wire at pin E12 and see if low beams
now come on if so then replace the switch.
For more understanding i will say,Check the head light dimmer switch that is a combo with the blinkers, that is the multifunction switch.

This details will help.
Thanks.

2001 Chevrolet Tahoe: Both Low Beam Lamps Not Working?

The Low Beams are not working but high beam works.
The Problem in such cases can be faulty bulbs/lamps,Switch,fuses or Relay itself.

Now to confirm what is faulty out of this use volt meter to do some testing.
Now gain access to the multi-function turn signal switch.
Power comes to the bulbs from the headlight relay, that is activated by the headlamp switch, and then grounded through the dimmer switch, to complete the circuit. go to one of the low beam bulbs and check if there is a loss of power on the Orange wire or a loose ground on the Yellow wire.

Refer this Points:----

1. At the dimmer switch connector inside the vehicle locate the pin E12 Yellow wire. Ground this wire and see if the headlights come on.

2. If the headlights do not work, check the Yellow wire for being broken between the headlights and the dimmer switch.

3. If the lights do work, check the pin E13 Black wire if it shows to be a chassis ground.

4. If OK, then replace the dimmer switch.

This details will help.
Thanks.
