Engine shuts off while driving on 1998 chrysler cirrus ?

PLEASE HELP.
MY CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING,THEN WILL START AFTER WAITING FOR FEW MINUTES.ITS 1998 Chrysler cirrus .
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM,WHAT I NEED TO CHECK TO CONFIRM THE PROBLEM?
-------
OK.
First of all check the battery terminals, in some cases dirty battery terminals caused this problem, cleaning the battery terminals helped.

The most common thing on your car is the crankshaft position sensor on the back of the transmission bell housing.
This problem is noticed by many other Chrysler users too. When crank sensor gets weak,or dirty this types of problems are noticed.
When it fails, which they commonly do when they get warm,  the engine computer interprets the loss of signal as the engine stopped running. Then the computer turns off the Automatic Shutdown (ASD) relay which turns off the injectors, coil(s), and fuel pump. You should still hear the pump run for two seconds when you turn on the ignition switch, but it will no longer run when the engine is rotating, (cranking or running).

Thank you.
