How to set the analog time on Elgin World Time Flight Chronograph

  • Elgin chronograph watches such as the Flight Chronograph Watch specify "Japanese quartz movement" on the back to designate the technology for accurate time keeping. Since the user manual for the Elgin Flight Chronograph isn't available online, insight about the chronograph technology is useful for adjusting and setting the watch. Once the digital time for a world city is set, world time or universal time calculation, is set.

Press the button on the top right-hand side of the watch once to begin setting the time. Repeatedly press the button on the bottom right-hand side of the watch until you reach the desired city name.

  • Hold the button on the bottom right-hand side of the watch for a few seconds until the watch face flashes “S.T.”

  • Press the button on the bottom right-hand side of the watch repeatedly until the desired time is reached.

  • Change the Daylight Savings Time (DST) mode if necessary by pressing the button on the bottom left-hand side of the watch to turn the mode on or off.

  • Press the button on the top right-hand side of the watch to exit the time setting mode.

    Digital Time Display

    • Press the button on the top right once to select the "Time" function.
    • Press the button on the top right to scroll through the list of world cities. Continue pressing the button until you reach your desired city.

    • Press both bottom buttons at the same time to set your city.

some models of the Flight Chronograph have the bottom function buttons reversed.
